East (SF) Bay EAA Chapter
East Bay "EVs Are Alive" Rally Saturday, August 23, 2008
Location: Chabot College, Hayward
Attendance: 10 EVs, 1 PHEV, 50+ people
Chabot College Automotive Tech Department hosted our annual Fall EV Rally in Hayward. This was a great event to display EVs. We had almost a dozen vehicles on display, with some rides given by the two ZENNs and the Bad Boy ATV. Even the campus security came by to experience the curb-climbing ability of the Bad Boy. the local fire department stopped by to discuss how to address EVs and PHEVs in case of accidents. Lots of discussions and interaction with folks, including a number of future EV owners.

Where the gas engine use to be, here is what's under the hood now:
We displayed our EVs and provide rides, to expose the public to the positive attributes of EVs. The focus was on showing the variety of vehicles there are and how standard gas vehicles can be recycled into zero-emission vehicles.
Thanks to Paul Cooper for photos and use of his camera.
