East (SF) Bay Chapter
August 26, 2006, Saturday Staging/Setup time: 9:00 am, Rally begins at 10:00 am.
Rally Location: Chabot College, Hayward We will meet in the staff parking lot, off of Hesparian, as noted on the parking lot map below. There will be an "EV Event" ballon floating above the parking lot entrance. This is a no-fee rally, open to any and all EVs. We have a standard entry/release form to be filled out at Rally start. The course is a 2-mile loop, and passes by Southland Mall. Great time to tell and show the public what EVs are all about - clean, quite, the best way to recycle a car. This is the time of Back-to-School weekend and the first day of Saturday classes for college students, so excellent time to expose college students and the general public to the EV mission and benifits. Note that there is 110v charging available in the secure Auto Shop (the College department sponsering our event). EVs may be dropped off on Friday and charged up overnight before the rally. Also, during the Rally, the College would appreciate if EVers could drop in on the Shop so students can see more about what makes an EV tick. Standard SPI (small paddle inductive) and AVCON charging stations are located in the parking lot. Additional 110v connections are available next to the public charging, for use before/after the Rally runs.
